Robin Melven Hawkins, 77 of Klamath Falls left this world on May 17, 2018. Robin was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon on Feb. 10, 1941 to Robert and Opal Hawkins and was the third of four children. Robin had two older sisters and one younger brother. During his teenage years, Robin’s brother in-law Clee Crawford, would take him to the woods where they would hunt and fish. This led Robin to a lifelong obsession fur hunting, fishing and being outdoors. After graduating from Klamath Union High School, Robin began working at the Modoc Lumber Co. and continued to work there until company operations ceased in 1994. Robin subsequently moved to Idaho where he finished his career in the lumber industry. Robin is survived by his oldest sister, Shirley Crawford; her younger brother, Gary Hawkins; His hunting buddy and nephew, Mike Crawford; his only son Robin “Bryce” Hawkins and his two daughters, Laura Nevel and Jana Gonzalez including seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Robin was an inspiration to many and will be deeply missed. Robin is preceded in death by his loving companion Vonnie Newell; brother’s in-law, Don Ecker and Clee Crawford and his loving sister Melba Ecker. Graveside services will be held at Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens on Sunday July 1, 2018 at 10a.m.
