Dona Virginia Hammons, 70 of Klamath Falls, Oregon passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on April 21st, 2018. Dona was born to Virginia and Donald Diesch on May 4th, 1947 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she grew up and met the love of her life, Mr. Willard R. Hammons and they married on June 13th, 1964 in Pittsburgh. In 1964, Dona and Willard moved to Mt. Shasta, CA and they also lived in Redbluff, CA; Walnut Creek, CA; Grass Valley, CA; Lakeview, OR and then moved to Bieber, CA in 1971 where she lived for more than 26 years and co-owned and operated Bob and Dona’s Pizza before settling in Klamath Falls, OR in 1997. Dona enjoyed crocheting, fishing, camping, boating and playing Rummy, but what she enjoyed most was spending time with her grandchildren and absolutely loved family gatherings. Dona’s family described her as a very loving, caring, loyal and a fearless individual. But what she will be remembered by most is her nurturing nature and her kind heart. Dona has made a positive impact on many lives and she will be deeply missed. Dona is survived by her loving daughters, Tina (Richard) Cressy, Paula Hammons, Bobbi (Amber) Vieira and Jessica (David) Pinacho; Her loving sons, Edward (Michelle) Hammons and Mark (Teri) Hammons; Her loving sisters, Pamela Elaine Rymniak, Debra Carol and Lonnie Yarberry; including 23 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Dona is preceded in death by her loving parents Virginia and Donald Diesch; her loving sister, Janet Carmichael and her little angel Kimberly Jane Hammons who passed away at birth. Private Services will be held.
